Complex Color Palette
C2 Paint is one of the only brands in North America employing the European 16-colorant tinting system to create its colors, as opposed to the 12-colorant system utilized by most other brands. The result: a unique collection of magnificently complex colors that cannot be matched using other companies’ tinting systems. While most brands are forced to simplify their Low-VOC color palette, C2 Paint’s improved technology allows the company to produce all 496 of its signature colors in the LoVo formula, which doesn’t sacrifice complexity, depth and sheer gorgeousness in the name of being green.

C2 Paint offers a greener way of sampling: 16-oz. color samplers cover up to 50 square feet, which makes it easy to test your LoVo color selection before buying, allowing for fewer mistakes and less waste. Or, take home a few C2 “Ultimate Paint Chips” (UPCs). These larger-than-normal chips measure 18x24 inches and are coated with real C2 Paint, not printer’s ink or lacquer like most other paint chips. What is LoVo?

What does VOC mean?
Technically speaking, VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds) refer to chemical compounds that tend to vaporize into the atmosphere. C2 LoVo emits fewer VOCs than regular paint, reducing the amount of ground-level ozone contaminants into our atmosphere, therefore reducing its overall carbon footprint. C2 LoVo is a healthy way to add color – and conscience - to your home.
Why should I use a Low-VOC paint?
By using Low-VOC paint, you are choosing to help reduce the amount of ground-level ozone released into the atmosphere. For a healthier environment, whether it applies to your living room or the biosphere, C2 Paint created the low-impact LoVo formula to exceed current marketplace safety standards – without sacrificing quality or color composition. Thankfully, all of C2’s paint products exceed the most stringent national safety standards, so while the ozone impact from paint is quite small (less than .5% of ground level ozone is affected by paint VOCs), every effort helps!
What is the difference between No-VOC and Low-VOC?
Although lower in VOC content, all paints – including No-VOC labeled brands, release some amount of VOCs into the atmosphere, though the amount may be small and differs by brand. Currently, in order to label paint as “No-VOC”, the EPA requires VOCs to be in the range of five grams per liter; 50 grams per liter is the standard for Low-VOC paints. Rest assured, all C2 paints are formulated in the 25-40 grams per liter VOC range.
What is the difference between the premium C2 Paint and C2 LoVo?
While all C2 Paint products exceed national and European governmental safety standards, the goal of the new premium LoVo product was to further reduce the emission of VOCs into the environment while maintaining maximum coverage and complex color.
